The Good: This was house is very nice inside and out, with a great outdoor look. Our family consisted of me, my family, and our three boys, ages 12,10, and 7 and we stayed for 5 nights there and then another week in Anaheim. The experience, as a whole, was nice. The house is beautiful with a great view of the park and lake, great spa, and a great kitchen. The backyard was also very nice. It was gated in the back, and we really enjoyed the grill. Wi-Fi signal is great, for the kids and the internet speeds were pretty good.
The Bad: The house, believe it or not, was a bit warm at night, looks like they backed a couch into the air return so it was not getting enough suction. There is only ONE shower in the entire house. There are NO hair dryers, and no iron for our clothes. The refrigerator leaked water into the inside from the ice maker. There were no condiments to speak of, or coffee for the coffee maker. We had to buy all kinds of condiments and things. We have stayed at other properties and those things, like sugar and salt, have been provided in the past. Being located in front of Boulder Bay Park is nice, until night time. You get a lot of road noise from cars (and trucks) driving by. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to reconsider. And finally, the big one - if you are staying in Big Bear for any extended period of time....NO WASHER AND DRYER. This was not good, as we needed fresh clothes and had to go to the local Laundromat...
Overall, there is good and bad...and that is why we gave it a 3. You can sleep up to 8 people there, I believe. But having one shower for 8 people, and be somewhere on time, is nearly impossible. I hope this review was useful.

Bottom line: Really nice place. Master bedroom is upstairs adjacent to the loft bed. Downstairs is a double occupancy bedroom with a pull out couch-bed and a queen bed.
Good Things: The hot tub was great. It is reasonably private and is accessed from the downstairs bedroom. The cabin has a beautiful front porch view that overlooks the lake and has a nice backyard patio with tables and chairs.
Bad Things: Overall pretty minor. There were some cobwebs on the ceiling fan, which was a bit disappointing considering the amount of money we paid for the cabin. Admittedly, the fan is probably close to 20' in the air. For the price of the rental though, get someone with a ladder up there. Also it is about 5 miles from the ski lifts so that is a negative if you want to ski or snowboard
