We stopped here without knowing anything about the place just because we were hungry and that was the first restaurant that wasnt all about burgers and fries and we were surprised by how good it was. The carnitas were SO good i even regret eating the chips and salsa because i was almost full. Portions are pretty big and overall it was great also the service was excellent and the food came pretty quickly.
Im surprised to see people complaining so much about silly things like the salsa-pico de gallo (which is free) but I would recommend the carnitas to anyone.

The atmosphere and decor is definitely Mexican, but the food is average at best. The shrimp and fish tacos had little flavor and should have been served with a cabbage slaw in them, but they just had the same lettuce and tomatoes as their other tacos. They should have had some type of sauce or spice to them, but again, they were just grilled with no real flavor. The black beans looked and tasted no different than the canned beans we buy at the store. Same goes for the Spanish rice. Even the chili relleno was average, with nothing special in the taste or texture. In a city with several Mexican restaurants, I'd skip this one.

I ordered the veggie enchiladas ... it consisted of two corn tortillas with only green peppers inside. So odd. I asked before I ordered it how it was made and I think the waiter and the cook did not communicate. That was $11. I would not go back.

One of the best selections of Tequilas I have ever seen in a restaurant, anywhere! From Don Julio Real, Herradura Suprema, Gran Centenario, and so many others, impressive and fun bar. Food was excellent. Love the salsa bar, love Hacienda Grill! Can’t wait to go back!
