This is one of our go to restaurants in LA when we visit from Australia. One might be worried about the prices given the location but it's great value and the food is always excellent. And do ask for the wine list as there are usually a number of nice bottles on the list. This time the service was not that great as we had experienced previously but it was still good. And make sure you get a table on the patio to do a spot of people watching !

My wife is a big fan of the 'Real Wives of BH' TV series so I booked us a table here for dinner on a recent visit to LA. Personally, not being a fan of the show I wasn't really looking forward to it, I was expecting a pretentious place, but I was pleasantly surprised.
There was a really nice, relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were all really friendly, especially our waitress. Embarrassingly neither of us could read the menu due to a combination of very small print (a problem that is being addressed), low light levels and failing eyesight. Our waitress very kindly took the time to run us through the menu, with a very impressive memory of its contents. She added a little more information with some recommendations along the way.
The food and wine that we selected was all very nice, portion sizes were large (for Brits) and we left feeling very contented. Our waitresses came over and topped up our glasses on a regular basis and we enjoyed talking to her.
Before we left she very kindly brought out a birthday desert with a candle for my wife, which made her very embarrassed, but we enjoyed trying to eat it between us even though we were both completely full.

Out in LA with another couple for the Walker Cup Golf Match. Villa Blanca was close to our hotel and the reviews seemed reasonable. It was a Tuesday evening and 2/3 of the tables were empty - so crowded restaurant was not the issue. Ordered a bottle of Brunello de Montalchino and asked to have it decanted. Instead of bringing the bottle of wine to the table for me to review and then decanting the wine at the table, our incompetent waitress brought a decanter of wine to our table; no way to know if it was exactly what I ordered or not. Waitress disappeared; after 15 minutes, we had to get the manager to take our order. Waitress showed up sometime later, no apologies. When food finally arrived, it was decent but the slow and incompetent service left a bad taste in our mouths. Too many good restaurants in Beverley Hills to go back here.

We had lunch after a morning of shopping on Rodeo Drive. Sitting, you can enjoy the walkers by, the wonderful ambiance of the restaurant, and the delicious food!
A charming place. Love the decor.

We went for dinner at Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills, having reserved in advance.

The table settings were attractive with white linen tablecloths and serviettes.

One had scallops and prosciutto $19 to start. For mains one had Napa Valley salad $22 and the other ordered Penne Arrabiata $25. One had mixed berries for dessert $10. All the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious.

The service was excellent, attentive and professional. The prices were very reasonable for Beverly Hills.
