We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Our favorite dishes are:
Double Skin appetizer
Seafood Pork Dumplings
Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves

This time we tried
Shredded Pork with Hot Garlic Sauce
Ginger Scallion Prawns

*Note that they are famous for Peking Duck.

Their portions are quite ample and although at the beginning we thought we had ordered too many dishes, at the end we ate it all up.

You can only make reservations if there are 6 or more in your party. If we have fewer than 6, we get to the restaurant at opening time and request a table in the area to the left of the entrance. This section you will find quieter than in the large open space in the back. This is a very popular restaurant and it gets filled up very quickly.

Service is very good and efficient. There is no way to have the food come out one dish at a time because once the order goes in, the dishes are made and brought immediately to the table.

Crowded place, very good food and good service, what to expect more? We went with a party of 3 and found a table at 8PM without having to wait which was great. Service was fast and waitress friendly and helped in the choice and recommendation.

Went for dinner which turned out to be less enjoyable compare to lunch in October. Service was good. Food was very good but last time was amazing.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in East Bay.

Their founder was originally from Shandong Province, then went to Korea, Taiwan and came to US. So the food is mostly famous for the dishes from Northern China.

We always order the roasted duck, double skin salad, crab meat dish, garlic pea leaves and a soup. All their signature dishes.

The wait can be long, but they accept reservation for party of 6 and more.

All the dishes we ordered did not taste the way it should be. General Tso's Chicken, came in a huge chunk and battered and deep-fried, and coated with sweet and sour sauce; Fish Fragrant Eggplant, was coated with the same sauce as in General Tso's Chicken, and pickled carrot were added in to the dish. Twice Cooked Pork, was heavily flavored with sweet bean paste, so it was very sweet dish; Aunts Climbing a Tree, tasted like a Singaporean fried noodle. This was an insult to Sichuanese people. Great China Restaurant offers Sichuan dishes, but nothing tasted like Sichuanese food.
