“Idyllic stay in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This cottage is an absolute dream!
Spotless, with everything you need from kitchen equipment, comfy beds, to DVDs and lots of games with a cosy fire if it rains.
Heaven forbid!

The conservatory and decked garden with sea view across the Sound are really lovely.

We crossed to Mull several times on the “multiple trip” ferry price reduction( it cost more than we anticipated) from Lochaline to Fishnish. ( 2 minutes from the cottage) The ferries are hourly (+-) and it only takes 20 minutes.

The store ( 5 minutes by foot) has all the basics and will order in fresh meat and fish on the requisite days. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We did, however do a pre-shop in Oban, which for a family holiday might be a good idea.

The White House restaurant in Lochaline is absolutely delicious – you need to book! (We were warned it’s a bit more expensive, but for London prices, not at all.)

The local Pub /Hotel also was good value.

Our week was all that we wished and more, and I would really recommend this cottage if you wish to experience W. Scotland and Mull.

Our thanks to the owners .

“Beautiful house with breathtaking view”
Reviewed 24 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This house has everything you need. From games to play on a rainy day, to everything in the kitchen plus a tv and plenty DVDs. Everything is very clean and you instantly feel at home. But what makes this house really a gem is the conservatory. The view over the Sound of Mull is breathtaking and better than any tv!

“Unadulterated Relaxation”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Isbell's Sealladh Breagh exceeded our expections.
I had packed emergency crockery but there was no need. Everything was to a high standard. Having been a wildcamper in the past, I appreciated the thoughtfulness applied to this lovely holiday cottage.
From the DVD collection and huge board game compendium for rainy days, the wonderful beds, to the well stocked kitchen and conservatory with outstanding views across the Sound of Mull; views that bordered on spiritual!
We were privileged to visit a lush Mull and an exquisitely beautiful Iona, just a stones' throw by ferry at the bottom of the road.
The girls (aged 12) bought "The best kites we've ever seen" from Lochaline stores and were highly entertained flying them at the gorgeous white sandy beach at the foot of the village.
We took several impromptu local tours according to the OS Map provided. On returning to Lochaline from the road to Drimnin, we saw a wild otter and also a family of deer, which made our day, of course!
Sealladh Breagh is situated well for those seeking an economic ferry fare to Mull, while having a vehicle to travel in, and wanting to keep their travel options flexible.
Next time we book, we will also enquire at Lochaline Dive Centre regarding junior Snorkelling courses that we witnessed. They looked fab!
As we were on a tight budget we were sad not to eat at The Whitehouse, but defo next time!
Oh - PS - the mattresses were phenomenal. So comfy!
We also visited the standards like Duart Castle and Tobermory on Mull. I was also intruigued to read some of the fabulous Scottish History books in the cottage outlining the history and influence of Somerled in the area, and the history of the nearby ruin, Ardtornish.
All in all our stay was a peaceful, relaxing, inspiring and motivational one, if truth be told, we were sad to leave.
We can't wait to book again for next year!
