Get some free with a fill up! Friendly and fun. A neat place to stop, gas up, and stretch your legs.

This is a fun little day trip that is not far from Bakersfield but still a nice drive away. I went during Halloween so they had a nice pumpkin display and fun stuff for kids. I enjoyed the different fruits and vegetables they had which included some of their own hybrids! Definitely worth the pretty drive!

Murray Farms has been part of Kern County for many years. It is a great place to stop while heading East or West on highway 58 just outside of Bakersfield. Fresh fruit pies and other baked goods. You can get a taste of the farm life and the kids will enjoy the area.

Need gas fruit or a snack they have a little something for everyone. Samples of fruit and friendly staff make the stop an easy one.

Like most, we stopped here to have a break during a long road trip. Yes, it has bathrooms (one, so be prepared for a wait), a cafe, small shop selling produce and a near by fuel station, but there is also a farm and kids area to the side. Beware the price. For a quick pit stop it cost us $33 entree. Whilst it was great for my daugher to burn off some of her excess energy, I did feel a little conned.
The area is pretty dated, a little shabby, and if like us you visit during the period between Christmas and new year, it looks a little abandoned and unsure if it is celebrating thanks giving, Halloween or christmas.
There is a small petty zoo, some pretty rural and basic attempts at play areas, including a slide with cardboard boxes, and some hoops to throw. The success was the inflatable cushion - but still not sure it justified the price.
