We stayed for 3 nights as part of our south pacific trip. It was our last stop in the pacific, and we wanted to leave the best for the last. Luckily we did.
All the bungalows have a beautiful location overlooking the lagoon, while having privacy. We stayed at a beach bungalow, the least expensive, and we do not regret it at all! we found that the water infront of the bungalows more beautiful and accessible than the villas, which had a rocky beach.
The staff was outstanding, calling you by your name, always willing to help. Everyday, they would leave a newsletter with tomorrow's activities, some info, and names of ppl arriving. They would also leave the special menu for the day. Even after a small misunderstanding, the GM was there and made sure we had a good time, offering us some complimentry services. We were just left speechless by the level of professionalism.
The rooms were beautifully decorated, the bathrooms were clean, with amentities, and mosquito repellent, which we didnt use at all. Everyone warned us about the mosquitoes in Aitutaki, however, we didnt find it bothering since the hotel takes some measures of spraying.
The ambience is very laid back, it was a great feeling becoz it isn't one of the mega resorts like in Tahiti, but at the same time, the level of service is outstanding. It's truly a unique place in this paradise.
A must: the lagoon tour, and we recommend the romantic dinner at the hotel.
