I went on the 6-hour canoe trip with my wife and daughter in September. We had Stuart, the head guide, as our guide for the day and he was great. We aren't expert paddlers (but weren't complete beginners) and he had the good sense to give us some tips to help us paddle better without giving so many that we felt we were being nagged. Instead he spent the trip telling us about Algonquin Park and the wonderful foliage and wildlife on display (we saw loons up close on the lake, a racoon hunting on the shore, and saw beaver dams and the paths the beavers had made but not the elusive beavers). The park was beautiful with the leaves starting to change colour in the fall. This is a great trip if you are a beginner at canoeing or even if you're not if you don't have time for a multi-day camping trip. Thank you Stuart.
