A perfectly positioned holiday cottage in Glenridding! Fantastic owner who gave us all the information we needed when we arrived, even went back home to find me a set of towels as I hadn’t read the info!
We had a fantastic few days of walking, and being on the lake...
Sadly Glenridding doesn’t have a fantastic choice of dining options although our host recommended the Fellbites cafe for evening meals and it was top notch!!
All in all a great cottage that I would recommend!
This is our 4th visit to Sybarrow Cottage. We love coming back to this beautiful home away from home. The location is idyllic, the cottage has all you could want and Christine is a wonderful host. This is a perfect holiday retreat, a space to recharge and refresh, a holiday memory to remember always.
A lovely clean and warm cottage, with all the equipment you could need, including a BBQ in the garden which we were lucky enough to take advantage of. This is the second time we've stayed and have already booked for 2019. We can walk in any direction, high or low and have a choice of pubs to go to afterwards.
Second time we've stayed at the cottage over New Year and it didn't disappoint. A well equipped, spacious but very warm and cosy cottage. Fantastic views over the fields and hills of Glennridding. Shops, cafes and pubs within easy walking distance. Ulleswater Steamers just down the road and well worth going on. Couldn't recommend the cottage highly enough and the lovely owner Christine and the little touches she provides make it all the more special.
Christine was a mine of useful information, we know the area well but there were things even we didn't know. Glenridding is part of the "real" Lakes and away from the normal honey pots - we were in the local pub just twice and nearly joined the darts team!! Plenty of short and longer walks, places to eat, drink, buy essentials and of course the Lake with the Steamers and Sailing School. Recommend this little gem of a place and the owner.
