We visited this tapas bar upon recommendation from our hoteliers at Hotel 1902; the restaurant did not disappoint! Being relatively new to tapas I was pleasantly surprised by the range of dishes both hot and cold on offer. We tried a few of the pintxo from the cold buffet as well as selecting some of the hot dishes. Although upon arrival service was a little slow, the waitress was very helpful explaining the different dishes on offer. A great authentic experience when staying in Soller!

I have to start this review by saying that I am bias as Ca'n Pintxo is one of my favourite places to eat in Soller. We come here every year, at least once, and I have never been disappointed with the experience.

It's a simple idea done well, tapas with panache. Many of the tapas are displayed on shelves and, as you can see from the photos, these look both interesting and delicious, and always something new to try. These each have sticks in them ( known as pinchos - hence the name) with a colour on the tip which denotes the price. These range from €1 to €4.50 so be careful what you let children choose, as it can soon mount up!!! You put the sticks in a pot and they are added up at the end.

You can also order many more hot tapas dishes from the menu and they similarly taste great and have a visual wow factor.

In the evening there are less cold tapas as most people order from the menu. A favourite with most diners is the patatas bravos (house special). This you can now have with a garlic sauce, but we stayed with the traditional piquant mayo.

At busy times you do need to book. It is very popular with locals who do book in the evening making it difficult to just walk in at busy times. There are three areas; outside, which is in a side street (in the sun during the day but shaded later in the afternoon. The ground floor, which does have limited space, but from where you can see everything happening, which I like! Finally upstairs, which I feel has a little less atmosphere but best if you are in a larger group.

The house red and rose are good 'drinkable' wines by the glass or the bottle (we haven't tried the white).

I would definitely recommend Ca'n Pintxo, but in busier periods such as the weekend you do need to book to be assured of getting a table.

We were amazed to get in without booking after 30min wait. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Best bits were the cold selection downstairs- help yourself and keep the coloured skewers which identify prices. Octopus Galician style was a particular favourite but all good.

This restaurant is superb if you like tapas. The patatas bravas was amazing as was the rest of the food. We went on a Tuesday evening and there was live music. Can't wait to go back in the future.

Great selection of tapas. Quirky stuff I've not seen before and interesting twists on classics.

Staff dealt well with our 'hard to manage' group of 10 and were very patient in explaining the protocol.

Nice selection of beers, which is a rare find for a beer fan in Soller!!

The black pudding and egg cold dish was a highlight.
