We stayed for a couple of night in one of the upgraded balcony rooms and it was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Recently renovated with air conditioning and very stylish. Many people describe this hotel as basic which misses the point. The reception, bar and restaurant area are a little minimalist but with a calm relaxing vibe. Friendly helpful smiling staff have been mentioned many times and that is spot on. When you get the feeling that the staff enjoy their work and are pleased to see you that's what makes it special. Pick one of the balcony rooms and the view is stunning. Sitting out on the decking opposite with a beer or a coffee and taking in the view across the bay is a delight.
Now you may be thinking that this isn't the place to stay because it is out of the main resort area. Wrong. We were on holiday so we stroll. There are bars and restaurants all around the main part of the bay. It took us around 25 minutes to stroll from the hotel to the marina at the far end of the resort. However the start of the bars and restaurants and bars was only around three minutes away as was the beach.
So if you want to pay an arm and a leg to be in the middle of the resort and probably have a view of a brick wall go ahead. If you want a welcoming friendly hotel in easy reach of everything then book the Citric. Book a balcony room and you will get the best view of any hotel in the resort. You will also get peace and a good quiet night's sleep. We may well visit Soller again and would book the Citric without hesitation.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are superb

The hotel is really quite ordinary with basic but with clean rooms and very friendly helpful staff. We would suggest that upgrade to a front room with balcony and a beautiful outlook is ESSENTIAL. There are no loungers but a really nice sun deck with comfy chairs - and open to a very welcome light sea breeze.

Just returned from staying at this fab hotel which was positioned perfectly in Port Sóller. It was close to the beach but away from the noise of the restaurants. Staff were friendly & worked really hard, the hotel was spotless. The views from the hotel were spectacular & worth popping to even to just have a drink on the terrace, especially as they make the best sangria by far! We had half board & found the food simple but very tasty. It’s a set meal with no choice so no good if you’re a fussy eater.
Book a room with a balcony & a sea view as the rooms are very basic & small, which is fine when the view is so gorgeous. We booked an extra night at the end of our holiday & had to move rooms staying in a cheaper room with no view & just a window. There was no way I could have stayed in that room for a week as it was far too hot & claustrophobic. It definitely needed some pictures or something on the walls to break up the space & make it feel more homely. Downstairs was decorated really prettily so it was a shame the decor didn’t extend into the bedrooms.
There was no air conditioning in either room which was fine in the one with the sea view as we left the sliding doors open but the other room with just a fan was impossible to sleep in with the heat.
Overall a fantastic experience just make sure you spend a bit more money to get a better room.

This hotel is in a quiet location with a terrace just over the road offering a lovely view of Puerto de Soller. We found the bedroom basic, but clean and adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We had dinner in the hotel one night which was very good value. A pleasant budget hotel in a good location.

We were just taking a walk around the bay and heading up to the light house and came across this charming hostelry, the barman was fantastic and provided us with best cocktails and a fraction of the price down the bottom of the hill. A great place to enjoy a nice drink with wonderful views. A highly recommend a walk here to just chill and enjoy everything that is so wonderful about port Soller
