Sa Coma Hotel
Ranked #1 of 1 Hotels in Banyalbufar
Reviewed 23 September 2005

We elected to stay at this hotel as we did not want our first visit to majorca to be in the tourist trap areas, which is mainly the East/south coasts, the roads are great and we had a car for the ten days we were there, the West coast roads are a very twisty but easy to drive through the mountains and the the views and mountain villages are great. Sa Coma is a small (39rooms) friendly family run hotel, the food is very good and varied and breakfasts are superb with the eggs as fresh as could hope for from their own chickens. The hotel has a small pool 1.3mtr to 2.3mtr deep and a small childrens pool but this is not a hotel for kids, there is plenty of sunbathing room on the garden terrace with ample sunbeds, but the hotel is located on a very steep hill, one way leads you down to the sea, (no beach of any sort not even very nice down there but please give the donkey an apple now and again, he is a bit grumpy) the road to the village is up all the way and the main road can only boast a couple of small restraunts and a small shop, not the prettiest villiage on earth. most rooms have a great sea view but there are a few side view and inland facing rooms, there are no tea making facilities in the rooms and the sound proofing is VERY poor indeed, a nice hotel but a long way from anywhere, ok if all you want is to lounge on the terrace after dinner with a drink but forget a gentle walk past al fresco tavernas or people watching. would not return to this location but PLENTY of the guests doo, found this hotel through Classic Holidays
