So this is a nice little place in Luarca. We visited in October for lunch in a period where Luarca was kind of deserted. We walked into the restaurant and even though there were empty tables the owner/waiter told us to go back in 30 min. So we sat at a cafe opposite and waited. So far no one entered or exited the place. We got back after 30min and the owner asked us again to go back in 30min and that he doesn't speak English. Still the same tables were empty. We had a walk around, we went back and guess...he asked us to get back in 30min again! What a distress! After all we decided to give it a try.
I had a favada with clams, my partner had a meat dish and we shared a salad. Nothing was worth the wait and we found the combination of tastes poor. The meat was too oily, the salad was just ok and the favada was lets say it politely uninteresting.
We have a small understanding of Spanish and try talk a bit but they don't help comparing to everyone else in the Asturias. Maybe the food standards in Luarca are low.
