If you are in Seefeld, it is worth moving up to that lovely church. Unfortunately, there are some building works all around at this moment, so, the view isn't that peaceful and romantic as in the brochures' pictures. Yet, the region is full of similar small churches one can encounter without especially looking for them.

The feature image of Seefeld. This tiny church can only seat around 15 people. It is well maintained and recently undergone external repainting. The doors are frequently open to visitors and is beautifully ornate. There is a small sitting area outside a locked screen for viewing and quiet contemplation and is actually used.

the church is really beautiful inside and is the iconic symbol of Seefeld. However, there is a lot of building work going on around and very close to it so it isn't in the idyllic meadow setting as in many of the pictures.

We first visited this old church 49 years ago, when it stood alone. Now it is surrounded by houses and building work, but it is still worth a visit .....it is lovely inside.

This church stands on a bit of a rise in a relatively open clearing, so it is incredibly picturesque. Too bad they are doing major construction behind it to prepare for a future winter event! You won't take the next million dollar scenic photo of Seefeld in the summer of 2018.

That said, the doors are unlocked to this beautiful little church. There is a small area, perhaps 90 sq ft?, from which one can take photos through a gap in the iron grate. There is an information box for a small fee (I didn't pay, so no idea how useful the historical information offered may be.) Postcards and pamphlets are also offered with payment on an honor system into a locked box.

Compared to a similar space in the USA, I thought this was pretty good access and very reasonable for an unmanned tourist site. No other tourists stopped in while I took my time taking photos on a beautiful, sunny June day. It was a peaceful church visit.

Outside, around the perimeter of the building, there are a couple of thoughtfully placed benches where one can sit and admire the views. This was a paved area, but fairly narrow.

There was no step up to enter the church, but wheelchairs might not be able to turn around inside as the space is small and contains some kneeling benches for prayer. There might have been a pair of steps down from the sidewalk to the entry path to Seekirchl church.
