“Free to visit, lovely small church, more accessible than it could be!”

This church stands on a bit of a rise in a relatively open clearing, so it is incredibly picturesque. Too bad they are doing major construction behind it to prepare for a future winter event! You won't take the next million dollar scenic photo of Seefeld in the summer of 2018.

That said, the doors are unlocked to this beautiful little church. There is a small area, perhaps 90 sq ft?, from which one can take photos through a gap in the iron grate. There is an information box for a small fee (I didn't pay, so no idea how useful the historical information offered may be.) Postcards and pamphlets are also offered with payment on an honor system into a locked box.

Compared to a similar space in the USA, I thought this was pretty good access and very reasonable for an unmanned tourist site. No other tourists stopped in while I took my time taking photos on a beautiful, sunny June day. It was a peaceful church visit.

Outside, around the perimeter of the building, there are a couple of thoughtfully placed benches where one can sit and admire the views. This was a paved area, but fairly narrow.

There was no step up to enter the church, but wheelchairs might not be able to turn around inside as the space is small and contains some kneeling benches for prayer. There might have been a pair of steps down from the sidewalk to the entry path to Seekirchl church.

To reach from Innsbruck, one has to catch train to seefeld and distance is 40 mins. Train goes every hour from Innsbruck. Seefeld is the small and beautiful town. Seekirchl church is a must to visit. It's one of the oldest and beautiful church to visit.

A must see if you travel to Seefeld. Tiny church with a unique/interesting history. Make this part of your walk. Best place for photos.

Seekirchl is a picturesque small church situated on the outskirts of Seefeld about 10 minutes walk from the centre. We visited one afternoon in August and were able to enter into a lobby area and look at the church through metal gates. An interesting place to pop into if you are in the area but I wouldn't go there specially.
