Just came back from Bali Ubud and then into this resort at Batam.
May be worlds apart but Woda has the rustic charm and serenity of the ricefields admist the outskirts area. We had our own pool shared with 6 units but all not occupied except us.
Rooms were nice and comfortable bed but small pillows.
Had a walk around the compound and basically rooms on stilts over the pond. Came with friends and had fresh seafood at the golden prawn kelong. We cycled to the other areas near the Go cart, which had a weekend carnival like local gathering by the lake, with mobile food stalls set up. Also explored the village-like surroundings, with good durians and food.
Must try their massage and they also provide shuttle to the malls ;- mainly Nagoya and BCS. There's a third mall Grand Batam mall, which was the newest. We enjoyed the Shabu Shabu Japanese buffet bbq and steamboat, all in one at the new mall.
Overall a fun weekend getaway, with good service except for mosquitoes at night. Wife gotten bitten just for taking a short walk through the garden at dusk.
Still worth the trip, although we moved to a better class hotel called Grands I beside Nagoya Mall, which was newly renovated and had 2 big pillows each and 1 booster to boot.
Best sleep ever so far in my life there.

The price is affordable and worth for the villa, if you are going as a group i would advise to take all 6 villa and the shared pool belongs to you to enjoy.

The room are clean but small, we had an complimentary breakfast included which is given by golden view hotel, this was one of the worse breakfast we ever had on our trip. will not advise for breakfast but you may try your luck.

The best we loved was the spa given by woda villa, complimentary which was 120min, you can upgrade your spa and enjoy 150 min or 180 min at affordable price and relax yourself and enjoy the moment.

Overall i will rate this place good for the price we paid.

Room tip: Go for the shared pool, private pool seem to be very small.

The price is fairly affordable for a villa, but the rooms were actually looking quite simple with minimal furniture, toiletries and such.

1. There are no hand soap, no hand or face towels provided. The shower gel smells a little weird like laundry detergent smell. Haha but we could make do with a short stay.

2. The pool has quite a few dead flies and insect floating in there....

3. The toilet is rather cramped and which i felt i would have bang on the glass shower screen when i get up from the toilet bowl

4. The toilet sink had many stains and the balcony door lock is also rusty. Time for some maintenance perhaps

5. TV is not working properly

6. Wifi not working properly

7. Service is rather good. The staff are generally helpful and nice when you need any help.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Loved their
1. Environment
2. Clean room
3. shuttle service to BCS/nagoya(driver was friendly)
4. Recepton Staff were very helpful
5. No mosquitoes (room smells good with oil)
6. Brekafst not at resort- at golden view but it's ok less than 3mibs walk
7. Clean pool and balcony
BUT
The massage needs improvement. Massage is average but the scrub was terrible. The masseur did not turn off the aorcon whrb applying scrub. It was super cold and I was trembling. After that then she off aircon. So.i felt that they cold have done better. 9vetall don't have a good relax massage. Disappointed with their spa.

My other half booked a signature villa at Woda to celebrate the King’s birthday. Check-in only at 2pm. We only took our valuables and reserved our seats for the next shuttle to BCS mall. After lunch and immediately Grab back to our villa for a good swim. However do note that pool aren’t very private as people can still see you. Book early as there are only 6 pool villa available. I was greeted with towels and welcome drink, staff were friendly and introducing spa packages. Next morning breakfast was at Golden view hotel which was opposite of Woda. Variety of choices from local to international. A good weekend vacation!
