We arrived less than a week after hurricane Maria. There was slight damage but this was quickly being taken care of by the wonderful staff. Food was great and plentiful. The bookable steak house was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The gardeners were very friendly though busy. This is our sixth time in the Dom Rep (always Iberostar hotel) so evening entertainment had nothing new to offer. We have done so many excursions in previous visits we thought there was nothing left...until we went to Coco Bongo...what a night. Picked up at hotel at 21:50 returned at 03:45
The show was fantastic with none stop entertainment. I would recommend this night to anyone with energy. Cost around £90 each.
When booking restaurants watch out for the hotel staff trying to get you to sign up for priority club/time share.
We were offered a VIP breakfast but really they wanted to get you to a meeting to introduce the special deals. Sounded like a pressure sell as you were advised to take your credit card along.
All in all the holiday was fantastic and Iberostar will always be our hotel of choice what ever country we visit.More
