We have just returned from a 16 night stay at Iberostar Punta Cana, the hotel was just perfect, the beach was one of the best we have been to in the Caribbean, you can walk along the waters edge for miles, the beach was cleaned of seaweed and the sand combed everyday!! Animation team were a pleasure to be with both on beach and in lobby bar in the evenings. Bar staff were extremely efficient nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was really good but a bit repetatve not many vegetables on the evening buffet, having said that you would'nt go hungry, the chefs and waiting on staff always greet you with a friendly smile. Steak house is worth a visit also an alternative to evening buffet was the Star Rock Cafe, food was freshly prepared and always hot (you don't need to book this).
A small point to be aware of is that there is a 2 dollar per day charge for safety deposit box, also wi-fi is $40 for 5 days.
My husband played golf, at the Iberostate Bavaro Golf and County Club for Iberostar guests green fees are $110 high season and $99 low seaon he would recommend the course.
We had a fantasitic holiday and would return again sometime in the future. Just enjoy!!!!

We were celebrating our 10th anniversary with our close friend Doreen and Brian, who were working on the next 25 years.
The Junior Suite we had was well stocked everyday and well maintained by Juana, she never intruded and was always cheerful. The grounds are amazing, very colorful and well kept. The pool areas are very energetic with many activities for all. We want to give a big shout out to all of the "Star Friends" who made our stay memorable; Jose (Yeah Baby, Big Papi), Emilio (Sexy Man), Pantera (You Looking for Me?) and Norman with the swivel hips. They went out of their way to greet and sit with you for a chat. Their service to the resort is outstanding. Everyday was better than the previous. The dining choices were more than enough so even our finicky eater found something whether it was at the buffet or at the speciality restaurants. They even tried some new items.
This was our first time to this Iberostar. We have stayed at the Iberostar Tucán (2009) and this influenced our choice for this anniversary trip. You cannot go wrong with an Iberostar.

Room Tip: Get the Junior Suites if you can upgrade. They are in a separate building, close to the main dining areas and the main lobby. It is a walk to the beach and pool but with all the eating/drinking you will need the exercise.

We had a wonderful family vacation with our son, daughter-in-law and seven year old granddaughter. Everyone at the hotel went over and above to please. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was in abundance and delicious! Activities poolside and on the beach all the time - you had to find something to your liking. Our room was in a great location just steps away from poolside and only a short walk to the dining rooms for dinner. When we walked into our room, I almost felt like I was on a cruise with the towels twisted like animals with fresh flowers on them daily. Room was always cleaned by the time we got back from the beach/pool. It was a beautiful setting and I would positively recommend this vacation spot. I would love to go back!!

Room Tip: Since we were two families, we asked for adjoining rooms, rather than a suite which only had one bathroom and it worked out beautifully.

We have stayed twice at this amazing hotel the last time was in March 2010. Staff were amazing always there to help nothing was to much for them. Everything you could possibly want from food to drinks. It is so good that my husband and myself are hoping to go for a 3rd time this September 2012, the first time we will be holidaying without the rest of the family. Can't wait!!!

Room Tip: Go for a room on a higher floor overlooking the gardens and pool

We have traveled here twice and loved both times. The sweet people of the Dominican smile all the time and are so kind and pleasant. They work hard to please and are very talented in the many roles they play.Our accomodtions were very comfortable with beautiful flower petals and towel sculptures every day. There was never lack of food and entertainment. Our friends celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and had wonderful champaign and cake. The pool is outstanding. When you stay at the Iberostar you also get to use the amenities of the Dominecana. (at least with our pkg)

Room Tip: The jr. Suites are a little bigger. Closer to food and drinks and not to far from the pool.
