I came to this resort in 2017 and wanted to take my wife on our honeymoon here because it was so great in 2017. The resort has been physically maintained well, and the pool and beach are still great. But the service has become painfully disappointing since my last stay.
Private transfer to the resort from the airport was disorganized and slow (stuck standing in the airport chaos for 30-45 minutes before we talked to someone). Premium check in was super disappointing and took forever (45+ minutes before we finally got to our room). Food was sub-par, especially at the buffet. I am genuinely concerned about the food temperature, because a lot of it was sitting at what seemed like 80-100 degrees, which could be very unsafe. Room service was much better. Pool and beach was excellent. Room was very nice and the housekeeping was good. But very poor service at the buffet and at most of the reservation restaurants and the premium lounge. Half the time we could not even get water or drinks at the buffet when we sat down. We also got zero special accommodations for our honeymoon (we also booked the most expensive suite and ordered the "honeymoon package") other than a basic fruit and pastry breakfast. Overall extremely disappointed with the service and food quality for the price. Wish we would have gone elsewhere for our once in a lifetime honeymoon trip.
