We came with our dog for lunch and sat outside. It's a very nice area and you can look out at the plants for sale.
I had the cheese and meat platter which had excellent quality meats - mortadella, parma ham and salami with a big chunk of brie. There were also slices of apple, both green and black olives and some bitter leaves of lettuce! This came with an enormous bread side which was soft and flavoured and really went well with the dish. There was a lovely French butter to eat with it if wanted.
Hubby had a jacket potato with grated cheese and side salad. He was very happy with his food as the potato was properly cooked in the oven, the cheese was a lovely mature cheddar and he also had a butter pat which he agreed, was really nice.
To drink we had locally produced fruit juices - called "Wobblegate" - see photos. I had the apple, which was a bit on the tart side and hubby had the apple and pear which was sweeter - both were excellent quality and we'd buy these again if we saw them anywhere as they were so good.
Service was absolutely excellent. Such friendly and helpful people served us and made our lunch experience perfect.
We bought quite a few things in the shop - biscuits, cakes, scotch eggs and pies but all the family only liked the lamb and mint pie - everything else we found to be poor quality and not to our liking.
We'd certainly come here again for lunch if in the area.
