Lovely little Oasis close to grocery store and walking distance to the beach, scuba shops and various restaurants. Extremely nice manager. I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation time there. Very nice for quiet and solitude.

We have a home in Sosua, which is currently rented, but we like to go back, check on things but also see friends. Typically we stay outside of town, but this trip booked at Tropix and was very pleased. The rooms were clean and just as described. The property is only a five minute walk from downtown, so easy access to restaurants, bars and shops. What truly separates this establishment from all others though are the staff, from the owner, to the manager to Juan who prepares breakfast. All, could not do enough for us. Being early risers, we were seated by the pool at 6AM to have the owner appear, with a large pot of hot coffee for us.Given the price, location and people, you simply can't go wrong with this place.

Tropix is a quiet and small hotel that has managed to stay the same no-nonsense hotel it was when I last visited over 25 years ago! The hotel is only a quick walk to downtown Sosua, but it feels much further away and a lot safer and very friendly. The rooms were clean, the manager was friendly and helpful and the pool was perfect. It is reasonably priced and is an easy ride to Puerto Plata Airport.

A great stay with a group of 7 in Sosua. The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. It was really nice to be able to use the kitchen to prepare meals as well. Being just down the street from a well-stocked grocery store made this a good option. The pool was kept very clean and was a nice relief after a day of work.
Location is just a 5 min walk to Sosua beach.

Loved these bright, clean, and spacious bungalows! Owner and manager super helpful and attentive. Breakfasts were delicious! Loved their book share! Conveniently located next to public transportation and a block away from the noisy city center. My rooms water heater gave me a few minutes of hot water but other rooms didnt have this issue. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

I called to book a room for 4 and when I arrived I had what I booked. Juan and Carl provided a great customer service. The room was more than enough for us 4. Clean, spacious and great area. Silent nights, no city noise. Great pool to enjoy and my kids had such a nice time. 2 beaches walking distance and supermarket right around the corner. Highly recommended. 😍😍😍
