Villa's location is ideal for the beach (200 yds), coach links, local shopping, money exchange and much more.

Place is kept clean, with ample garden space for relaxing. Secure at night.

Rooms are basic but include everything you'll need and we found Sabine the owner to be very accommodating and helpful. Arranging taxis, info on the area and even phone number for Pizza delivery.

It's not a 5* all inclusive and doesn't pretend to be.

The Villa Mar is a comfortable, safe place to stay, with a "homely" feel to it.The rooms have a safe but we didn't have any concerns about leaving valuables in the rooms.

You will have to buy bottled water for drinking, this is normal in the DR, But the reception have 5 gallon bottles for sale for 50 pesos. We found one was more than enough for 2 weeks.

Internet is very good. And the TV's have Cable with 200+ channels. Most are Spanish but there is a good selection of English. (Ideal for those rainy days)

All in all, a good value for money Aparthotel.

We arrived as customers and left as friends.
