Coming from the US with reservations screwed up from a different vacation home rental, we chose the Playa Chiquita. It was perfect for a mancation and we spent 75% less which meant we had more monies for partying. The owner was great to us even though we did not have a reservation, The gates are closed around 10pm each night to keep things safe. Each place has its own bedroom and in close proximity. When I say this is perfect for a vacation with your male friends, that is exactly what it is. I would repeat more than once. You'll need a car if you want to be independent, otherwise there are moto taxis on site. After 10pm Jose is the night watchman, and will let you in during those late night hrs. I stayed three times in the last four years in Hotel Playa Chiquita. As advantages i can notice; Nice large apartments with kitchen, living room and separate bedroom, TV with lots of premium channels. Very friendly european owners, excelent daily housekeeping. Ideal location, not in the noisy village but only 5 minutes away with motorbike. ( You can rent one or use the motorbike taxis you find 24/7 outside the hotel) .Better value for money from all the others hotels.
Generally,a very good choice, especialy for singles who look for quality holidays with privacy.
