Great place, very mellow, pool area and beach very nice. Quiet, good internet and great accommodation for the price.
Many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Good for walking on the each and watching the sunset.

Room tip: The rooms are small, but you are there for the surroundings and the beach.

Great place. Mellow during the week. Nice pool and ocean front areas to relax. Room clean and fine. Water pressure low. Beach is small in front and shallow to swim. Cash only was unexpected. Would stay here again just for the pleasant and mellow oceanfront.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past & have over looked the lack of warm running water, friendly staff and cleanliness of bathrooms.

I surprised my 86 year old grandmother and Aunt a trip for a Christmas gift to DR for the first time and prepaid for the 2 bedroom suite in full with tax & room paid in full.

On our arrival the front desk woman informed me that I owe more money due to the exchange rate changes since my reservation was already made and paid. I have never heard of such thing!!! Why would I make a reservation and pay in full?

The bathrooms were dirty with spit on the sinks. 2 out of the 7 days we had no running water. Showers did not have any hot water and the shower heads drip water instead of actually working.

They have many dogs on the property as well that are locked up in cramped little cages in the heat and sun with no food and little water. As I have stayed there in the past there have been many deaths in the care of their property cats and dogs. With no food and water. Unexpectable!

I do not recommend anyone to stay there with a heart for lives of animals.

I will never give them my business again. I feel they are taking advantage of there loyal customers and that fact that I paid my room in full months prior and still looking to rape their guest of there money.

They have lost a long time client and visitor to Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic.

Very bad service and management!

My only problem was it took a long time for the hot water to kick in. They have a high

tax also, give you an example, room per night $75, stay three nights $225 plus $71 for

tax, total: $296.00, very kind receptionist and workers. restaurants on the same street.
I would stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.

Room tip: When you leave out at night make sure you know how to get back in the hotel.

We were very happy with D'Franchecis- quiet, clean, charming, loved the in-room kitchen, and the little gate that led right onto the beach. I would definitely come back again. Two tips- better to buy any fruit or veggies you might want to cook in the city- they are very expensive in Juan Dolios. Also, there were mosquitoes in the room, so maybe consider bringing a net.
