We went to this restaurant since it was very near our hotel and the cluster of restaurants where it was located all looked classy. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and we had it all to our big family - eight adults, six children- the night we went. Most of us ordered the small rib-eye (which was not really small). It was very tender and perfectly done the way we ordered them. Their seafood risotto is so good. They had good soup and pasta for the kids. We did not try their dessert since we wanted to try the coffee/dessert shop next door.

Very seldom that you will find a restaurant that offers great food, great ambience and great service. Fire Lake Grill has it all. We had the pumpkin soup, angus rib-eye paired with Angus the Bull Cabernet Sauvignon and vanilla and salted caramel cheesecake. Everything was perfect. Thank you Chef Paul and the two very attentive waiters (wasn't able to get their names). This place will definitely be one of our go-to restaurants in Tagaytay.

Very poor service! Waiters are not attentive and accommodating. Would require several follow ups to get your glass refilled with water. Steak sauce are given in moderation, again you need to follow up several times. The waiters are moving in a slow pace motion and lacks sense of urgency.

With all the good reviews, no reason not to try it. It was a dinner with my family. No problems getting a table indoors. Honestly, the place doesn't have that cozy feel to it, it's cold and lighting is too bright to even call it romantic. But I really don't mind as we came to enjoy the food. And we were right! Everything was good! The lamb shank was the best I have tasted so far, better than the ones I have tasted in Sydney. It was really tender and melts in your mouth. It was paired with a bit of risotto which was also good. The rib eye was also good, full of flavor and very tender. The tenderloin was a tad dry but was, nevertheless, full of flavor. For dessert, the pannacotta was creamy and refreshing, the passion fruit seeds added texture to it. Malibu rum-poached pineapple with coconut ice cream was a very interesting dessert as you will be given instructions on how to eat it. Something worth trying.

No regrets doing that 45-min drive, at night, to Tagaytay..

I wasn't personally impressed by this resto. Except of the very good view, i dont think there's another reason why i will go back.

The food was great. Service was also great. I guess the downside are ... 1 the place does not have a lot of food choices and 2... its a bit pricey.
