Our family (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay in late July. We had adjoining rooms which were huge and provided the comfort required from the 39 degree heat of the day. Every single staff member was friendly and attentive. The pool was a welcome reprieve for everyone after exploring the area. We enjoyed the variety and food quality of the breakfasts each morning as well as a couple lovely relaxing dinners under the gorgeous large trees near the pool. We can't wait to come back to Bagan and will again choose your resort for the lovely ambience and service. Thank you .

While we were there, it appeared that they were updating several rooms, which this needs, though the rooms are still very comfortable. Not a single drawer in our room, which I found both odd and a little frustrating, though I expect most guests probably don't stay for more than a night or two. The room is equipped with an easy to use safe, though.

This hotel is very close to the temples, and several restaurants. The hotel food is okay, and we ate here for most dinners just for convenience, but I recommend Be Kind to Animals The Moon which is a very short walk across the street and down a little bit. The mojitos at the hotel were outstanding, though--made properly with fresh ingredients. The local wine, not so much.

Other reviewers recommended getting a room near the lobby, which we did, and were grateful because the low lighting at night can make finding your room a challenge, not to mention the mosquitoes!

Room Tip: It gets really dark at night. Best to request a room near the lobby.

Very good , perfectly maintained hotel with detached enourmous rooms inside a secluded garden.
Superb shady pool and generous common areas .
Ups :
-location literally surronded by temples and Stupas at walking distance to some of the most visited ones.
- breakfast (surprisingly good croissants !)
Downs:
- towel quality : poor quality and worn out for an expensive hotel
- I`m not an AC fan, but some common areas should hace better coolong systems , because fans are not enough with high temperatures & humidity ( quite frequent)

Finally I have to explain the incident that disturbed me during my morning shower : I found a scorpion (alive) in the shower and after calling the front desk , an employee came immediately with a special instrument and took it away.
This makes me think that scorpions are not a rare issue if they have such an ad-hoc tool around.
I would have expected a comment or explanation of some hotel responsible after my phone call and comment at the front desk , but It never came .
For me it was not much more than an ancedote and I am conscious that in a tropical environment , nature is uncontrollable , but I think I have to explain it to make future customers aware of this possible risk . Perhaps the hotel should give some general info / recommendations in advance

Dear Cesar V
Thank you for the kind review and we are glad that you enjoyed our home made croissants at breakfast, room and our landscaping.
We are afraid of you that AC system, towel quality not met the standard and this is not our service standard, we always discarded all linen which not met the standard quality. AC system might concerned electricity fluctuation, unstable due to weather.
We do apology for a scorpion in the shower and we never allow any pest in guest room, we do have pest control team in the hotel doing daily basic of different type of controlling pest. We will make sure that you will find our services and facilities up to your expectation future.
Thank you
Kind regards,

The hotel is well located near, as the name suggests, the Tharabar Gate. Rooms are very spacious and clean with great aircon. It has a lovely large pool which provides a welcome break from the heat. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant which very good with lots of choice. But in the evening we headed out as the menu was limited and overpriced. Staff were a little subdued but always polite & helpful. We hired our e-bikes from the Aung Lan who displays his bikes opposite the hotel entrance. He was really helpful, agreed a good 3 day deal and provided new reliable bikes. We ate a couple of times at Be Kind to Animals The Moon which had lovely traditional vegetarian food at very reasonable prices.

This hotel is situated close to some of the best pagodas in Bangan.
The villas are spacious and well maintained in immaculate grounds containing a beautiful swimming pool. The staff were all attentive but the level of service was not quite at the same level provided by the Savoy in Yangong. The breakfast was delicious as were the evening meals. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
