Staff could not be more helpful, happy, pleasant and courteous. We had river view cabin with balcony, the only problem there, the doors were weathered therefore we needed an additional key to open and close the door. There was a good Happy Hour, drinks 2 for 1, advertised as 1600 to 1800hrs, but, they call last drinks (end of happy hour) at 1745. You are close to most of the Pagodas, sightseeing is easy. But, if you want to eat at one of the "nearby" restaurants, then it's a taxi ride (closest is approx. 1km).
We enjoyed our time there, hope you do.

I chose this hotel due to the facilities, good reviews and location in Old Bagan. I was not disappointed. This place offers value for money, approx 4 star when compared to western hotels and a very comfortable base for exploring Bagan.

The staff were all welcoming and smiling at all times. Though English can be challenging for some of the staff, they nonetheless try to serve as best they can. It was a bit challenging to get service by the swimming pool at times, but this is a minor nitpick.

We had a deluxe room which was a bungalow. Very cosy and comfortably furnished. It was a tad on the dark side but not a problem is you open all the blinds. The rooms are showing their age a bit and could do with refreshing but still perfectly comfortable.

Pleasant veranda, flatscreen TV with some western channels, minibar and fridge, tea and coffee facilities, good quality toiletries provided and a reasonable bathroom. Bed was fine and large, with a choice of firm or soft pillows.

Breakfast is plentiful and an egg station can provide poached, scrambled or fried eggs. Western and Asian breakfast options.

Hotel serves reasonable dinner food which is useful in bad weather/when you're tired. It is pricey though for Bagan as you pay hotel rates.

Resort has a pleasant swimming pool that is large enough to do lengths and is bliss to cool off in after a hot day exploring in Bagan. There's also a fitness centre but I didn't try that.

Resort is set in beautiful grounds, with an ancient Pagoda contained within. In dry season there appears to be an outdoor bar and boat trips. E bikes available for hire but just outside the hotel you can hire them cheaper from Bobo.

Old Bagan is about a 15 mins walk - useful if you want to eat at the excellent and good value vegetarian restaurants there. It is very dark at night walking back so use light on your phone or a torch - beware as I spotted scorpions!

ATM outside hotel but it wouldn't give me cash against my foreign card. Hotel front desk can change USD to Kyat.

I really recommend this place if you are looking for comfort and value in Old Bagan. It is not 5 star so if you are looking for this, look elsewhere.

Good Hotel and good location. Try for a room on upper level with own terrace and views over the garden. The only let down was the food which was not at all good. They do good breakfasts. They don't seem to have stocked up on their wine list and so I had to go to the Aureum Hotel to get local wine and bring it back. The foreign wines are so expensive to buy. The pool was closed when we stayed but you could use pool at a nearby hotel.

Room tip: First floor. Room 639 good with own terrace and view over the garden and the River. Also has good bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

This resort was very nice and staff friendly who spoke sufficient English. Unfortunately while we were there the pool was closed for maintenance but they shuttled us to a nice resort five minutes away with a nice pool. We had a standard superior room and as there were few people staying at the resort with tens of riverview and villas available we didn't receive an upgrade. There was security at the entrance to the resort and felt safe our entire time in bagan!

A fantastic hotel that is exceptionally well maintained. The grounds are beautiful. Really impressed with the outstanding service; the staff could not have been more helpful and were brilliant at organising both our motorbike hire and bus ride to Mandalay. Would happily return for a longer stay!
