Ndutu Safari Lodge and the park itself are a "once in a lifetime" experience that you'll want to repeat. The lodge is set inside the park creating the opportunity to stay amongst the incredible wildlife and landscape. As other reviews have stated, it is remote and the border of the Ngorogoro Conservation Area and Serengeti, but well worth the drive. A stop at Oldupai Gorge on the way in is a nice way to stretch the legs and see some history.
The cabins are very nicely furnished and offer truly beautiful vistas of the park. We awoke to zebra and giraffe just yards away from our veranda. The accomodations are very comfortable, the staff helpful, and the food was great. Much like Tarangerie safari lodge, Ndutu is an experience that cannot be matched staying outside of the park. This is a safari lodge and while you can find more slightly more luxurious lodges in the Ngorogoro area, the experience at Ndutu is truly unique. I have previously stayed at Serena Lake Manyara and Kitela as well as Tarangerie safari lodge, each of which is wonderful, but the ombined experience at Ndutu Safari Lodge and park was phenomenal and one to return to in the future.

This hotel is promoted as a lodge and I would have to rate is more as that. Rooms were okay but no a/c making it quite stuffy during the night. Service and food were good. If you are looking for a solid 3.5 star lodge, this is your place. It is in the middle.of wilderness, with beautiful views from room.
You can encounter wild life right outside the rooms- We saw many Warthogs and dick-dicks, other than the birds. It was enjoyable.
The uniqueness was their mascots- genets in the dining/ receprion area.
Would surely recommended this to anyone who wants to experience true wilderness!!

We stayed here before but were again impressed by the quality of the cabins, the very comfortable beds and great food; the best meals we had during our trip.
Nice views and a paradise for bird watchers.

I really ended loving this place since we really enjoy to get back to the lodge to see Giraffes, dik diks, zebras, baboons, so many birds and here we even where able to see a Chameleon and the genets which is a nocturnal animal that would be imposible to appreciate if we wouldn't stay here. The staff is nice, but not the best part of our stay as it used to be in other lodges. Food excellent!

Room Tip: The last ones are the best, you don't listen to all tourist passing...

Hi Mailixi
So glad you enjoyed your stay at our lodge and for giving us full stars. The lodge is a perfect place to see so much wildlife. Our staff are wonderful and I am glad that they matched the standards of other places you stayed at.

This place is incredibly hard to find, but worth it! We loved the Genet cats that live in the main building and are so much more attractive than your average cat! There was a special outdoor buffet when we visited and the food was superb. One of the few places we stayed with hot water!

Room Tip: All rooms look good

Hi Ann
Hot water is so important when you are on safari! Our solar hot water heaters never let us down. Thanks for the great review and I hope we see you back again.
