We used one of the private rooms with bath here. The rooms were small and somewhat rundown -- you can see more detail about that on my travel blog, http://paulalanlevy.blogspot.com/2012/04/dramatic-drive-from-salta-to-cafayate.html -- and I found it a bit odd for a hostel that the VERY skimpy breakfast starts so late. (Details on that are here: http://paulalanlevy.blogspot.com/2012/04/dramatic-drive-from-salta-to-cafayate.html). But the housing was just about right considering the very low price we paid in a town that is increasingly expensive as a place to stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating -- with particular high marks for the afternoon/night person whose English works well. The day staff do not speak English and do not seem to want to make any accommodation for that, but of course that was my own limitation, traveling in a Spanish-speaking country despite a minimal ability in that language. But, travelers should be forewarned.
