“Charming and peaceful retreat!”
Reviewed 27 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

The cottage was very well equipped indeed - a home from home. In a beautiful, quiet, unspoilt part of Brittany, we enjoyed some lovely walks alongside the Elle River. We had two elderly dogs with us, so were not able to much investigating culture, but we did come across a couple of chapels, one recently renovated with lovely old medieval carvings both in wood and stone. The sense of history is never far away. Holly and Chas were really helpful hosts, with their friendly hound, Genepi who welcomed our two! I would thoroughly recommend this cosy cottage, particularly if you are looking for a quiet, tranquil space in a friendly environment with much of interest to visit and lovely walks.

“Mimosa Cottage is a Must! Loved it”
Reviewed 30 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Richard and I have just had a wonderful holiday. Mimosa cottage is lovely.
Clean cosy and very spacious. Everything provided that you need for a perfect holiday.
I loved the garden and gardens to visit in the area. While Richard went off cycling the green routes nearby. We both had to agree we should have stayed longer.
We hope to return with our granddaughter. She would love it. The splash pool, games room, and games all provided for family holidays.
Holly and Charles were perfect hosts.
Many thanks loved the cider you left us.

Wonderfully quiet location, nicely decorated cottage with plenty of outside space, stunning views and welcoming hosts. Plenty of day trips to make all reachable within 20 to 60 min. Absolute recommendation.

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 7 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Just had two wonderful weeks at Mimosa Cottage. We felt right at home in the cottage with every thing you could possibly need or want at your finger tips. We are a family of 4 including our 2 teenage daughters who played bridge, table tennis and boules. The paddock is glorious in the sunshine and our dog Gordon had lots of freedom to run around. We visited chateau, museum, fete de la crepe etc. We've been to Brittany lots of times, but discovered new sites and new towns to us like Concarneau. Holly and Cha were great hosts.

“Restful stay in a fantastically characterful gite”

As first timers taking a family to Britanny (8-10 year old children) with friends from Devon, UK, we wanted to guarantee a restful and pleasant stay. This is exactly what we got at Mimosa Cottage. As many have commented Holly & Cha are warm people and welcoming hosts who strike the perfect balance of being around only when required for advice about the locality without being intrusive. The cottage was spotless when we arrived, full of character and the bedrooms being at each end of the cottage meant that each family felt that they had their own space if/as needed. The cottage is tucked away up a hill so peace and quiet is assured, but close enough to some pleasant towns and patisseries! The kitchen was great, we enjoyed eating outside and the children loved the pool and games room. There are stunning views from the garden too. All in all a lovely place to stay. Would recommend for families and groups of friends.
