The place is lacking maintenance. The animals look sick. It is not what it used to be back in the day. Awful.

A unique experience for all international travellers to Venezuela. I recommend readers must spend some time.
This a very small but clean zoo...is nice to see the birds and ducks walking free in the zoo...you can buy carrots to feed the animals they love it.
It's a little bit far from the city and a little difficult to get there driving (directions are a bit tricky in Caracas), but if you go with a local person you will have a great time with your kids. Kids get to feed the animals once you buy a bag of carrots. It's a great place to visit on the weekends. I prefer animals in the wild, but this place for some reason did not make me feel so bad about animal captivity.
A must for taking your children and enjoy a wonderful afternon viewing and petting animals. Not for adults unless you have a very big inner-child.
