Booked the "largest" one, it had no fire pit(which was a bummer) but had a large deck, real close to the other cottages heard the neighbors late at night. The "rules" didn't seem to apply. Was not fond of the parking, had to move when people wanted to leave. The rooms weren't cleaned properly! Found clothing, garbage and Vomit around the beds! From the previous renters. A lot of water damage in the washroom causing the tiles to come up from the floors, myself and my children would end up poking their feet from the corners or the tiles (not safe or sanitary). Expected it to be cleaner and the wifi wasn't good at all. Also didn't see the landlord, was expected to sign papers like at the other places I rented at Wasaga Beach.
The cottage is small, but has all the basic necessities in it. There's a full size fridge and oven that both work, a clean bathroom, internet and air conditioning, a BBQ with propane, and fire pit! No complaints about our unit, which was the one bedroom one bathroom. It would have been great to have some more cleaning supplies available incase of any spills or what not, but it's always something else you can just pack! It's everything you need for a great summer vacation, and the check in and check out times are very flexible! The bathroom has been renovated, and the bedroom does have a double sized bunk bed, and there are two futons. The only issue I found was that there was limited counter space when cooking, which could be an issue when making big family dinners, but if you are creative you can make the most of it and still have a great meal! The walk to the beach is about five- ten minutes depending on how fast your walking :) and gives you a chance to see the canal everyday! I would recommend staying here, but a bigger cottage may be better for a big family. However, if it's just you and a couple of friends it's got everything you need and space isn't a problem!
We rented the 1 bedroom cabin for 125$ a night and it doesn’t worth that money. The bedroom is so small that you can’t fit a luggage and I’m not exaggerating. The front door was damage so it was unsafe to leave our stuff there. The picnic table is on dust right next to the parking and the trash cans. There was flies all over the place when we where trying to eat outside. The cabins are just one right next to the other so you have no privacy. Our neighbour used the BBQ and it cut on fire because it was so dirty inside. There was no smoke detector or extinguisher. We decided not to stay there, not even a night because we would have ruin our vacation and it was kind of unsafe. They ask for the whole paiement in advance so you can’t get a refund when you realize that you have been ripped. The only positive thing that I could say would be that it was ok clean.
