We stopped here mid way through our walk for refreshment and found it!
Atmospheric country pub, warm welcome, triple decker sandwiches with lovely fresh salad leaves made to order.
Will definitely plan a walk this way next time we are here

This is a lovely very old pub with a welcoming atmosphere . The food is excellent and home cooked with a varied menu to suit most tastes . Good sized portions with plenty of vegetables . Children are made welcome .
For Sunday lunch booking is advisable as it is very popular with local people and gets very busy
To find it you need to look for the Llangenny sign off the Brecon Road . It is a winding 2 mile lane to arrive at the narrow River bridge where the Pub is directly opposite you .
I myself am a regular and love to take friends who visit me for their Sunday Roast as they are always without fail fall in love with the pubs quaintness and atmosphere .

Me and my partner come here pretty much once a month and the food is outstanding.
The staff are incredible and always so nice . They make you feel welcome and where the pub is located makes it all worth while.
I would definitely recommend this pub for walkers. Bikers and many more..

From our phone call to reserve a table through to tips on the local area, the service here is second to none. Such a friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were a group of 7 and one dog and the service was spot on. We were there for Sunday lunch and the portions are really generous and the food good, honest pub grub. It really goes to show the difference good service makes - you won't find much better than here. We're now looking a for a reason to take a trip to go back and sit in their cosy bar with a pint or two. Highly recommended.

our party had a diverse range of meals, all of which were excellent. however the thing that conversation kept returning to was the décor, we were in the 'military' room with its pictures, uniforms and other memorabilia. was certainly busy on a Friday night.
