We booked Lawrenny Lodge after reading Tripadvisor. We stayed for 4 nights and took our border collie with us. We were suprised to have a large sea-view room. The Lodge was a short distance to walk into Barmouth, and away from the noisy pub! They had a small bar serving bottled beers at reasonable prices. We loved the breakfast; each day freshly made muffins were enjoyed and there was also a special breakfast beyond the usual fry-up. Our hosts were very welcoming - they even saved a sausage for the dog!

Brilliant time from start to finish. lovely welcome , room with fantastic seaviews , a lovely comfy bed and a bathroom with huge soft towels. Lots of choice at breakfast where hubby had full english breakfast and toast whilst i chose cereals and fresh fruit salad. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast still appeared (thanks to an aga!!) even after a local powercut !!
After our days out we had evening meals in Saffron and The Last Inn - both of which we used twice and would highly recommend.
A bonus for us was that as we went to check out after our third night we were told we had booked for 4 nights !!! Get those cases back out of the car quick.

Room Tip: worth paying the extra for a seaview room.

We decided to visit Barmouth as part of our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed for three days.
When we arrived the welcome was really friendly and our room had a fantastic view across the estuary.
We were recommended a great restaurant to spend our first evening (Barmo Bistro) and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and ambience of the place.
Coming down to breakfast we had a wide choice of cereals, fruit salad and grapefruit segments. Our host was quietly efficient in ensuring we had everything we needed as regards coffee/tea and toast, and the full English breakfast meant we had little need of lunch.
The room and bathroom were spotless and the facilities in the room were generous.
Barmouth proved an ideal location to visit other parts of Wales and we look forward to returning in the not too disdtant future.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front have fantastic views across the estuary to the mountains on the other side.

Although we were only staying one night, my friends & I were looking for a Welsh seaside, comfortable B&B. As it was out of season Barmouth was a central place to tour from with still some amenities open. My African friends had not seen the mountains and coast before so this had to be special. It was! We were overwhelmed by the welcome and beautiful, comfortable rooms {theirs being a twin with amazing view of the estuary. We felt a home straight away. Robin was extremely helpful in finding us a place for evening meal. The breakfast was delicious. Lawrenny Lodge is just across the road from the scenic bridge over the estuary which made a superb walk to view Barmouth from the other side. All told we had a super time, with spotlessly clean linen on comfortable beds. A perfect choice for us.

Room Tip: For view go for rooms at front but they are more expensive. However the double at the back was lovel...

We found this lovely place on a website and we got lucky because they'd had a cancellation. What a fantastic wee lodge, the welcome was really friendly, the atmosphere fantastic and our room on the front overlooking the ocean was everything we hoped for. the rooms had been done up and the bathroom was one of the nicest we experienced. Just a short walk or drive into the town itself which has lots going for it - Glenda went to the Dragon theatre and really enjoyed her night out.

Breakfast was filling and very tasty - but it was Robyn and Adrian who made it special.

bit of a walk up the stairs - if that's an issue for you be careful, otherwise you'll love it.

Our biggest problem was we only got to stay one night

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front with an ocean view - its worth it
