Our family (2 adults + 2 teenagers) stayed here for 2 weeks in August, and we have really enjoyed it. The weather was horrendous (heavy rain and strong winds every day) but the cottage made up for this. It is really comfortable and luxurious, with stunning views. While my husband and son were out hiking (in the pouring rain), I stayed "at home" with our daughter; we used the provided binoculars to spot for boats and birds, we played some board games and brain breakers (also at hand in the cottage) and we watched a couple of movies (the owners have a whole lot of DVD's and CD's). The kitchen is very practical and well equipped, the 2 bedrooms are spacious and we loved having 2 bathrooms (the toiletries of "Noble Isle" are worth mentioning!!). The only thing we missed were a couple of shelves in the bedrooms (only hangers), but that is really just a detail. Wonderful place, far away from other tourists, perfect to enjoy nature, stars and peace on the Isle. We would not hesitate to book it again! P.S. I forgot to mention the exceptionally friendly owners (sorry again for breaking the bin!)
We had a fabulous time staying here. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A great base to explore Skye and the cottage offered all the information required on how to find the places we wanted to visit. The spectacular views and scenery were visible from just sitting on the sofa. The local honesty boxes in the area meant we could sample fresh local produce such as eggs and marmalade which just added to the remote country feel. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you want to escape hectic city life for a few days!
We stayed at Creagach Cottage for a week in mid-May. It is the most beautiful house in a wonderful setting overlooking the sea and surrounded by a lovely garden. Inside furnishings and decor are top-notch - straight from the pages of Ideal Home! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect in every way, including a really generous welcome pack. Although some distance off the main road, the location is good for touring the north of the island and there are some good walks close by. HIghly recommended!
This is a place you won't want to leave at the end of your holiday...a real home from home to unwind in, relax and enjoy some of the most amazing Scottish scenery.
We spent a week at the cottage in May this year and were lucky enough to get some great weather to enjoy this most stunning of locations. The cottage, which has truly awesome sea and cliff views, is beautifully decorated and furnished. It's also got a lovely private garden to sit out in and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
The owners have gone out of there way think of everything we'd need. Their detailed 'manual' is stacked with useful information...everything from from how to light the log-burning fire, where to eat out, local shops, sight-seeing/walking information and even where to find freshly-laid free-range eggs for breakfast!
The bedrooms are luxurious with really comfy beds, we slept like logs ! And the spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area had everything we needed.
Skye is a wonderful place and Geary was a marvellous base to explore it from. We'll definetly visit again!
Tucked away in the hamlet of Geary, this cottage is truly exceptional. We arrived to a lovely welcome basket of goodies and sat down to marvel at the stunning views over the loch to Uig. The cottage lived up to its billing and was immaculate in every department. The owners had clearly given a huge amount of thought to what it takes to make for an enjoyable stay and this made a big difference.
We enjoyed several days walking before the weather turned a bit mixed but time spent in the cottage sitting by the wood burning stove enjoying a dram or two was as enjoyable as walking in the hills. Top marks all round.
