Had e mailed Bryan before heading up to Mull to see what the weather would be like and what the wildlife watching might be like. Bryan advised that the first was usually relatively warm and that the wildlife watching cow;d be good.

The weather was balmy (as far as i was concerned) for December and the otter watching was excellent. Bryan really knows the patch around Pennyghael and the local area knowing which territories had otters with cubs and where the best areas are to see the wildlife.

On this excursion we managed what i refer to as the "big 3" otter, WT Eagle and Golden Eagle with the latter two being somewhat distant. On saying that through the scope we were able to watch two WT Eagles and an otter on a rock "interacting."

Deciding to make the day a little more interesting I challenged Bryan to get into double figures with the otter sightings. Sadly he failed managing only the nine! The last three a mother and two cubs were though close and personal views - all in all a five star experience and highly recommended!

Amazing day touring some of the wildlife hotspots on Mull. Expert knowledge shared effortlessly gave us our first ever view of a Golden Eagle, among many other trip highlights including Hen Harriers, Otters and an Adder.

We have driven over Mull for over 30 years on our way to Iona and only now appreciate the beauty and amazing wildlife we have been missing. A great experience.
