We have just come back from a week at this lovely cottage. It was well equipped and provided a great base for exploring. Our two children enjoyed the games, books and toys that were provided. It was a suprise to find bikes in the shed which we used most days as there are excellent trails just across the road. Overall a comfortable stay. Just a few points for future visitors: take midge replellant (you will need it in the summer months) and dont expect phone or internet signal. This wasnt a problem for us however the nearby vistors centre offer free wifi.
The cottage offered a very comfortable and well equipped self catering holiday let. The location is beautiful with a wide range of holiday activities, ranging from very active pursuits to beautiful places to chill out.Great value for money too.
Glentrool is a stunning area. Cottage is cosy and practical- perfect starting point for exploring the Galloway hills.
Bedroom and bathroom clean, living room and some cutlery however were a little dirty, would put this down to the last people to stay. No big deal.
Thanks, will come again!
The semidetached house is located in a small village in the Glentrool forest with its own access to the forest where you can find 5000years old neolithic chambered cairn just less than 500m away!
This is a surprisingly spacious very well equipped "home from home like" house.
We would love to come again.
Had a lovely long weekend at the cottage, lots of dog walks and loads of peace and quiet, Cottage was nice and cosy everything you would need is provided, would book again.
