“pleasant cottage ideal for relaxing and enjoying local attractions”

We stayed for two weeks at Beas Cottage. We found everything in the cottage as may be required to support a family vacation. The cottage is clean and tastefully decorated. Its location close to the village centre, including bus and rail, makes it ideally suited to permit those with no personal transport to survive with ease. The cottage is close to a range of walks to suit all ages and physical capability. The owner was very accommodating during the booking phase and flexible on access times. We appreciated the responsiveness in respect to our enquiry concerning wifi access. Perhaps the best review that could be given is: I would stay there again.

Beas cottage is very comfortable and in a good position. It has walks from the door and is close to restaurants and bars. The log burner is brilliant and I'm sure would quickly make the cottage cosy on a cold winter night.. The bed is comfortable for a great nights sleep.
Sally was very welcoming and provided a lovely basket of goodies for our stay.

Apartment has two double bedrooms and a single. Comfortable sitting room with couch and chairs. Owners were very friendly. Good wifi.
If you are staying in Church Stretton you will have to drive over the Long Mynd. An experience in itself.

“Beautiful area and lovely house”

We loved Church Stretton and the gorgeous surrounds. There are lots of walks from the doorstep and a good few tearooms, restaurants and pubs. We went between Xmas and New Year so a few shops were shut over the season - but still some great quaint independent places. And a supermarket a walking distance away, which was handy. The antique market will certainly draw us back in the future - some great gems there!

The biggest drawback was the bed. Very, very uncomfortable. This would stop us booking the house again. This is a shame because it is a lovely place. The bedstead is not sturdy and rocks with every movement. In addition, the mattress is in need of replacing due to overused springs.

It was a bit of an effort to get the £100 deposit refunded. We had to chase it after a month and could not get it refunded through Trip Advisor (which is how we paid it) or get a bank transfer. It did arrive promptly in the post by cheque when we enquired after it.

Overall a lovely house - a great rental in a wonderful part of the country. Good walking, day trips and antique shopping.
