The ability to park outside is a real plus in Staithes, otherwise there is quite a lot of walking up and down hills. The cottage is well equipped, and has many well chosen maritime features. Wi-Fi is intermittent. Low ceilings and steep winding stairs may not suit people with limited mobility. Some mobile phone signals can be found by trial and error!
The local residents are friendly, Nearest supermarket, a Co-op, is a short car drive away or a long walk. The Cleveland Corner Bistro is excellent, and great coffee and cake at the Sea Drift cafe is a must. Take home lovely fresh fish from the Whitby Crab Company next to the main car park at the top of the hill?More
