“Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a fantastic location.”
Reviewed 26 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

From the moment I booked our stay we were really well looked after. No stone was left unturned with the welcome pack that was sent to us and communication was second to none. All of the subtle, yet well received touches, from the welcome biscuits and milk, to the ready to light fire, went above and beyond our expectations. Dunsley and Staithes are beautiful and our stay for my partner's birthday could not have been any better, best weekend in a long time. Thank you so much.

“Really Special Place”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in November 2013

We had a really, really special weekend, we can't thank you enough for all your help to arrange the flowers (were beautiful) and the champagne. Staithes is a magical little place. The house is beautiful and we felt like at home. The kitchen is very well equipped, bed comfortable, view from top floor is amazing. It was magical to listen to the waves and wind at nights, perfect location to relax, plenty of walking routes and fantastic view from the cliffs. Dunsley is a charming cottage with narrow streets and hidden footpaths between the houses. We will definitely be back. Again, thank you Judy and Duncan for everything.

“Magical”
Reviewed 2 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Even before we arrived the owner, Judy, was unbeatable as the consumate host. Communication was easy, guest info pack so professional I googled Judy and found she was a travel writer by profession. Much love, care and attention has been given both to this cottage and to the comfort of its guests. Loved Staithes, Runswick Bay and Sandsend. Avoid Scarborough!

“Comfortable, relaxing and beautiful”
Reviewed 24 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Dunsley is a charming cottage. The kitchen was a good size for the two of us and had everything we needed. The bathroom was lovely - a great shower. The bed was very comfortable and everything was sparkling clean (All things that are important to us on holiday!) WiFi an added bonus. We loved the living area (we called it the snug) it feels almost hidden away at the top of the cottage and you can look out over the rooftops. We were so lucky as we had beautiful weather all week (it didn't go below 25C I don't think!) so we spent a lot of time exploring Staithes and surrounding areas and spending time on the beach. The museum in Staithes took us by surprise as we both enjoyed it more than we expected, it's crammed full of information and photos of Staithes and its locals and Captain Cook. Runswick Bay and Saltburn-By-The-Sea are well worth a visit and not too far from the cottage. The location is great as you can soon reach Whitby for more shops if needed; the local Co-Op isn't bad though. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, we give Dunsley 5* !

“Wish we could have spent longer”
Reviewed 15 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed for 5 days from June 17th just as the British Summer started to pick up! The cottage was perfect for the two of us and a perfect base for walking and site seeing. We would have liked to have spent more time in the cottage to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and cosy rooms but unfortunately had to make the most of the sunshine. Have stolen a couple of design ideas though, and if the art gallery had had another "Crusty" I certainly would have bought one!! The walk up to the Fox and Hounds was worth it for some good home cooking and seriously recommend the sausages and black pudding from the local butcher. Will be back, if only to get the relax I wasn't allowed this time.
