Visited here with friends on Saturday. Lovely experience from start to finish . The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and the ambiance was really great too. Glad to have been here, first but certainly not the last time, highly recommend this place!

I was rather disappointed with the food. As a big fish and seafood fan, I was surprised how little they did to it. The starters (mixed) could have been bought from the caravan in the harbour, at least I would have been able to put some dressing on. My lobster was over powered by garlic butter, it did say on the menu it had it, but if it tastes more like chicken kiev and you can't taste the delicate flavour of the lobster at all, then something has gone seriously wrong. A hint of garlic by all means. The side salad had no dressing. The fig dessert I really fancied hadn't set (nearly 10pm). I often go to fish/seafood restaurants but they usually add flavours that complement the dishes. A lot seems to hinge on presentation but a kitchen porter can do that. Where were the culinary skills that transform the raw materials into some amazing, unexpected and unforgettable??

We are always happy to accept criticism, and our staff are trained to deal with complaints, so if you had had the power of speech on the day our staff would have happily amended both your complaints quickly and with no fuss. However it seems you like to complain, and to find nothing culinary or skillful from our 14 starter and 14 main choices that our 3 chefs love creating each month is totally rude and disrespectful. Lobster and Crab as you can imagine are two of our best sellers and we serve thousands with no comments like yours (and strangely was enjoyed beautifully by award winning chef Richard Bainbridge - with Garlic!) We do find it sad that you felt there was more to be done with the fresh seafood (not from a caravan in the harbour) starters, i.e. dressing, which we feel would mask the lovely flavours, yet you complain about a flavour being put on the lobster, even though it clearly states this on the menu. May we suggest that you use your vocal skills to communicate your requests at the point of ordering in restaurants rather than waiting until afterwards and declaring them on trip advisor, you will enjoy your meals out more.
We have great feedback on our dishes and prepare every element from scratch to enhance the flavours and it is unfortunate you were unable to try the Brulee as it had been very popular and our second batch simply had not set in time- the nature of all products being made fresh .
I am sorry if this appears rude but that is how we interrupt your comments and we have a full team who are totally passionate and committed to serving great dishes.

Supreme seafood!

Only issue is that when we arrived we were told that we had to be clear of the table by 8:00pm. We had booked for 6:30pm; if we had known we would be time limited we would have booked for 6:00pm. As it was, we had a starter and main, but no dessert, so were in plenty of time - but we did feel rushed.

I am very sorry that you felt rushed but this would have been because you were a relay table, we always tell our guests on booking so that we can ensure dining times are accepted and aim to extend when we can. Please do talk to us and we would always do our best to find your happy time. I do hope you enjoyed your food x

Tried this restaurant for the first time. Very busy lunchtime and those who had not booked were being turned away. Excellent starter which was spicy hot. The crab salad was again excellent. Great menu with a good range of fish dishes. The gin drinks menu was again delightful. Very good and quick meal service with very good customer interaction. Looking forward to a return to try other choices.

Being Restaurant Week, four of us had booked for Wells Crab House.
I was the only one who had been before.
The food was delightful and Absolutely delicious
We all had a Starter as well as a main and then a couple of us shared an ice cream dessert.
Really could not fault the place, the food or the Staff. Ladies.....you are terrific
Bear in mind that if you have one of the Platters, it may initially sound expensive however these may be shared (as I have done previously) with an additional side or two.
The Hedgerow Cocktail is Amazing!
Love the place!

We were fortunate enough yesterday evening to park pretty much outside, however there is a car park opposite or during the day a VERY large new car park just before the Crab House on the left coming from Hunstanton direction. A short walk
