“Home from home”
Reviewed 25 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Situated in the village of Wereham the property is located in a commanding position over-looking the large pond and the George and Dragon pub, quintessentially 'English'. From booking to arrival the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our host (Ian) met us upon arrival and handed over the keys and gave us a tour of the ground floor, (hot water system / heating, kitchen bits etc.). We were a group of 7 ranging from 16yrs to mid 50's. Upon the large kitchen table was a lovely hand written card welcoming us to the property, a bottle of Cava and freshly baked scones. All the bedrooms are of ample size, different size beds available and the master has an ensuite. Bedrooms at the front have great views. There is even a piano in the lounge! The best way to describe the house is that it felt like home from home. None of us felt he had to tread carefully, it is a family home and is presented as such. The hosts were fabulous throughout. Lovely venue.

“Summer Break with Friends & Family”
Reviewed 5 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A lovely big house that accommodated two families of five comfortably. Love location, near to the park for the children and pub for the adults. The village pond was just outside the house and the kids loved feeding the big fish and the ducklings. The owners were really helpful and received our shopping that got delivered before we managed to arrive. Everyone loved sitting around the real fire and playing games in the evening.

“Perfect property for a family get-together”
Reviewed 15 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Our family of six plus 3 'other halves', 1 toddler and a couple of dogs, were fortunate enough to have the use of this very well-equipped and comfortable house for family birthday celebrations. Ian and Debbie really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, and were able to provide a recommendation for a catered lunch. The village is "picture postcard" pretty and there are lovely walks in the area. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Really pleased your family celebration went well. I am pleased that the 10 of you and your 2 dogs were comfortable in our house and that the village was as welcoming as always.
It was lovely meeting you and your family.

“Excellent property, beautiful location”
Reviewed 7 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Lovely house, very well equipped. Owners are very friendly and we were also made to feel very welcome at the village pub, The George and Dragon which is just at the other side of the pond. There were 5 of us staying in the house and our extended family of 5 joined us for one day, we sat comfortably around the dining table and there was plenty of room in the lounge for the 10 of us. Excellent.

Liked best: The house layout and its location next to the village pond
Liked least: No hand wash basin in downstairs toilet, not a major issue but had to use the kitchen sink.

“Amazing stay”
Reviewed 9 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

What a wonderful welcome we turned up to, the dining table was made up with a much welcomed cream tea complete with homemade scones and jam. This was just the start of a very lovely relaxing four nights with my family and our dogs. Everything you could think of needing while away is there, even clean dog towels when ours were too wet to use. We did not cook evening meals while there so all the menu,s in the draw were very welcome also the pub across the pond served amazing home cooked food. The rest of the evening was filled playing games in front of a lovely log burner ,again wood etc all there ready for you. Will certainly be looking to go back oone day. A big thank you to Ian and Debbie xxx
