Was not sure what to expect as the concept is not your standard restaurant.

However the menu is interesting with plenty of choice

My fish fritter was very good and then the quail which was perhaps a little to rare.

My guests all devoured their choices

Real ale was good
Service excellent

Does get crowded
Overall not too bad. £90 for 3

This place is worth making a serious diversion to come to if you are ever near by. Food is simple delicious. Great concept of ordering many plate, sharing (if you like!) and the deserts are simply to die for. Great drink selection and Tom our barman was first rate. Do not be mistaken, this is incredible food, in the most relaxed of atmospheres.

Been a number of times and visited for breakfast last Friday morning, the place was quiet not busy, venue great looking as normal, ordered the full English for 2, well prepared and served promptly.........however when paying £30 for 2, you don’t expect them to forgot part of your order, No Hash Browns with the full English as they forgot, it’s on the menu!!!.........we sat by the kitchen and could see head chef busy on the phone ordering and he’s side kick who was overseeing the cooking of our 2x full English shout out “hash Browns on for our order” but he didn’t have the eye required to make sure they were included on the plate, the pomp and ceremony of bring the plates to the pass was undermined by such a surprising schoolboy mistake. I know this sound real petty, but I could roll up to a greasy spoon cafe and & pay £10 with a guarantee the fundamentals parts of a full English as detailed in your menu will be there. Overall should have been 5/5, but dropped to 3.5/5 for poor attention to detail against the number of staff in the kitchen at the time of visit with only 4 customers in the place.

The staff are great and very friendly.
The menu changes often with a few key dishes that remain.
The quality, and fresh ingredients is why we keep going back.
Highly recommended!!!

Eaten here a few times, brilliant concept, for those of you who’ve read the bad reviews complaining about portion size...well they’re supposed to be small portions, the idea is you order 3 or 4 things to eat. Food comes as its ready not all together, kind of tapas style

I had;

Lasagna - absolutely amazing
Pate - like liver flavoured mouse on brioche WOW
Burger - I can only describe the burger as a religious experience

You can’t book a table here, you have to turn up and wait, enjoy a beer or wine whilst you wait. Tell the staff that you want to eat and they’ll let you know when there’s a table ready.

I think this place has recently got a Michelin Star, it’s the least expensive Michelin start place you can eat at, so get yourselves there, order the menu and enjoy!!!!
