This is a great Paradore to relax in and to tune into nature. The location affords spectacular scenery and great walking opportunities. At night you may be blessed to see a spectacular night sky far away from the light pollution of the towns.
The staff are very friendly.
Parking can be tight as people tend to meet up here.
Well worth a stay. I will certainly booking to go again.

We were once again spending a holiday in Tenerife but on this occasion we had our ten year old grandson with us. We were taking him to Tenerife primarily to see the night sky, from one of the best spots in the world, Teide National Park.
The Parador Hotel is the only hotel situated in the national park and the views are just amazing. We had booked half board so had our breakfast and dinner included in our package. The food was very good, the breakfast was self service and there was a variety of juices, cereals, yogurts, breads and pastries, if you wanted cooked food, bacon and eggs, and once anything was emptied it was refilled. Dinner was very good, perhaps a bit fancy for a ten year old, but when we asked for something more suitable it was quickly organized.
Our room was a really decent size and clean, the furniture very comfy, we were very impressed once again.
The one thing you need to take into account when staying is that people are very often on the move in the corridors late at night, because alot of people are out and about the national park photographing the night sky, which we were doing , and got some magnificent views of the milky way and planets.
We also visited the observatory for the first time, we had booked the visit before our holiday via the website it was all very simple. Our grandson loved every minute of this holiday , and I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Room Tip: As a couple you can have a room that faces the summit of Teide, well worth asking about and paying extra.

We are based in the holiday business in Los Cristianos. We booked to stay one night, and upon arrival we agreed to accept the offer to upgrade our room, 88.78 to a better option at a further cost of 20.56. This brought the room total to 116.99.

We were thrilled with both the hotel, beautiful lobby and perfect view of a snow covered Teide. Your Reception staff are exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

We decided to eat at your on site restaurant, (we should have know it was not a good sign that we were the ONLY people in the whole restaurant).

We had ordered a bottle of wine, vodka and diet coke and a beer, the beer was bad, cloudy and had particles floating in it. When we asked the waiter for help, ( as the beer was bad), he had a very poor attitude and stomped off to change it, (bearing in mind the restaurant was EMPTY ! – he was hardly overworked!)

We then opted for the light menu, and asked the waiter for bread to start, he clearly was put out by this request and when we asked for salsa mojo, he forcibly slammed the dishes down on the table!

Then he came and forcibly just took the bread, (whilst we were still eating it !!). I did say, please can we finish? To which, he simply poured the bread back on another plate!! So rude! It was like an episode of Fawlty Towers – but he was no John Cleese!!

The main meal advertised was chicken, in reality it was THREE chicken legs in a pale sauce with a FIG!! No potatoes, no vegetables, that was it !! At a cost of 22.50 each, (you could pick a desert also).

My partner choose the meat, which came as tough as an old boot, with a small piece tortilla, No potatoes NOTHING!

The meal total was 87.95, it was lukewarm, abysmal and depressing all served by an irritable and rude waiter!

We wont be rushing to book again !!

The hotel is a bit dated but it feels good inside with a nice salon with chimney, a great restaurant and windows opening to the incredible surroundings. We had mainly bad weather but the proximity to some trekking routes allowed us to enjoy every moment of sun. On top, the early morning before the buses arrive is a very special moment in this lunar landscape.

First the receptionist wanted to accomodate me in a small dark room saying than it was a superior one. Luckily finally he "found" a real superior for me. But the hotel is in such unreal location that a few minutes later I forgot about the reception. The restaurant is quite good.

Room Tip: be careful with your booking
