When we first went to Tenerife 28 years ago our representative recommended three restaurants Bar Oasis was one of them. We went regularly for 20 years .but then stopped going to Tenerife. This year was a trip down memory lane and Bar Oasis had to be included. Luckily the food (Garlic chicken salad and chips) remain excellent. Reputedly the best on the island. The wine is rather better than when we first went!

It can get very busy and after about 7 oclock it is best to book

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. The other recommended one, La Rambla, which is next door was shut for the day.
It is basic and cheap. You need to know that this restaurant does Chicken, and only Chicken. Apparently La Rambla is similar but do Ribs as well.

This is an 8 Euro trip in a taxi from our hotel in Costa Adeje to the town of Old Adeje which is picturesque and well worth the trip to look around the tree lined bustling streets, where there are many street side bars and cafes.

At the Oasis youfirst choose your bread, either garlic, or plain with Alioli dips. This was the good bit.

Then you choose your chicken, plain or spicy ( it really isn't all that spicy ) and whether you want Chips or Canarian Potatoes.

You also get to choose if you want a side salad. This is Lettuce, sliced Beef Tomatoes and White Onion in a dressing, which other reviewers have said is amazing but is simply olive oil, salt and white wine vinegar.

The Chips aren't particularly great but the Canarian Potatoes are. The salad is good until you get to the last 1/3rd which is submerged in the dressing in the bottom of the bowl making it very wet oily and limp.

The Chicken is ok but you will see a lot of Grease left in the platter at the end that may be unexpected to someone from the UK, but this might be how they have it here so I wouldn't knock a traditional dish. Possibly some people like to mop this up with any of their remaining bread !

We were definitely full at the end and had no room for a desert.

The service was very quick and very friendly. The restaurant was extremely busy and they have been doing the same thing for many many years and which has proved to be brilliantly successful and I take my hat of to them for that.

We probably wouldn't return but are glad to have tried it. Just that it wasn't completely to our taste although there were bits that definitely did stand out.

The simplest food but the best quality and chicken to die for! 2nd visit during holiday and would come again but got to go home. Family run and service was excellent.

You get what it says on the tin but wow this was amazing, chicken spicy or plain, chips and salad.......whats not to like!! Salad dressing made the whole experience and all at a fantastic price!! We visited last two Sundays when the festival was on, we hadnt booked and it was heaving but we were seated within about 10 minutes, considering how busy this place is and for the number of front of house staff it is so well managed it all just works. Thank you Oasis we loved it!!!

We first ate in Oasis 14 years ago after my husband used to eat here almost daily when he lived here in his 20s. The food is amazing and just as good. Chicken, salad, chips and bread with aioli. Fantastic and a must!
