The villa is really lovely, in particular the outside areas. The pool is great, very regularly cleaned and the garden maintained. We also loved the hot tub. Kitchen is well equipped, and the air con works well. The photos don't do the villa justice. The only caveat is as others have mentioned the walk back from town or Burriana beach is pretty steep. We got used to it and always walked it, (2 adults and 4 teenagers) but I think older people or younger children would need to get buses(local bus does stop nearby) or taxi/hire car. Top tip if you arrive late on Saturday and need a supermarket on Sunday - mercadona (closest one) is closed but supersol is a few hundred metres further across the road (we didn't realise this and walked all the way to Burriana to look for somewhere to buy basics!). Very efficient lettings service from Ian.
The villa was a good size, nicely decorated and very clean. The pool area was very nice and the jacuzzi was an added bonus, enjoyed by all of us. The only slightly picky negative was the condition of the sun loungers which are quite worn compared to the very tidy and clean villa.
Very close to two local supermarkets which was good. High up at the top of the hill, so the walk down to the beach is fine but hard trek back up the hill, we always have a car in Nerja as its very steep and quite wide spread to get to from Burriana beach to the Balcon de Europe with its restaurants and shops.
Nerja is beautiful and we really enjoyed our time here.
Ian was extremely helpful, throughout. The villa was just right, the pool was plenty warm enough in June. Car parking on nearby street. Easy walk, to a couple of local restaurants for a coffee, beer or meal. 1.5 m to centre and Taxi's about 7-8 euros, they all seem to know 'Calle Antequera'. if you are on a budget i reccomend 'little italy'.
We had a great holiday at the Villa Antonietta with our daughter and grandsons. It is in a lovely position with views over Nerja and of the mountains behind and just five minutes walk from a well equipped large supermarket. The Villa itself is well equipped, spacious and comfortable and the pool area and hot tub were both great hits, especially with the children. The weather was hot so the pool was a very pleasant temperature for so early in the year.
As others have mentioned, the walk downhill to the beach and town centre is quite easy - but not so good on the way back. So we got taxis back - the easiest way is to ask a bar or cafe to call one for you. There is also a bus stop just round the corner where you can catch the round town bus, although we didn't actually use it ourselves.
Thanks Ian for all your help in organising transfers etc for us.
Have just spent 2 wks at villa Antoneitta and found the villa to be better than expected, pictures don't do it justice....it has everything you need. Lovely size pool and the jacuzzi was a great bonus which was used everyday. The villa is in a lovely quiet location, about 20-25min walk in to town....bus stop just round the corner if needed....€1 each way. Very handy for supermarkets....2 within 5-10 walk turning left at the top of the road and up onto the main road.
Thank you to Ian Gillespie who was very helpful.....found the whole process smooth from start to finish..... would definitely use C&G again.
