Just returned from Nerja and we had fantastic holiday staying at villa Yuka in Nerja.
This is the perfect place for a quiet relaxed holiday or a fantastic place to base a busy
holiday travelling around Andalusia.
Brigitte and Ray who own the villa where amazing, helping us with advise on places to eat and visit, where to go to go for shopping and even organised booking a restaurant tables and sorting out cabs for us on one occasion, we could not have asked for more.
They also left us a great welcome pack of wine and beer and groceries so we did not need to go out and shop on the day we arrived which was good as we where tired after travelling.
This meant we could just get on with enjoying the sun and the swimming pool.
Everything we needed in the kitchen was already there from washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs to olive oil for cooking.
The villa is on the edge of town only 5 minutes from the A7 motorway and 5 minutes from the centre of Nerja and Balcon de Europa by car and about 35 mins walk which can be advisable the parking in the town can be difficult.
We took a trip into the mountains to Frigiliana which is beautiful for the market on Thursday and into Torrox for the day for lunch, both of which took less than 15 mins in the car.
There is an Aldi supermarket 2 mins drive or 10 mins walk down the road for shopping and a garage and cafe 2 mins drive or 10 mins walk up the road that is great for essentials, the cafe has an outside terrace and is good for breakfast at a reasonable price.
The villa and the 3 terraces on three levels that have loungers chairs and sun umbrellas including the 7 meter swimming pool level that also has an outside BBQ and a covered area for eating. These are set with bushes and flowers and totally private and are not overlooked on any side.
The pool is positioned to get the sun all day , we played music out by by pool and barbecue without disturbing anyone.
There is is even a lemon tree in the garden if you fancy picking them fresh for you gin and tonics, we picked one for smoked salmon at breakfast one day.
The inside of the villa is beautifully decorated and fully air conditioned with very comfortable leather furniture, the lounge also contains a large TV with DVD player and U.K. Satellite channels.
There is very good wifi and a marble staircase taking you up to the first floor where there are 3 very comfortable bedrooms with air conditioning and ceiling fans. I had the master bedroom with the on suite bathroom with a shower and sink unit, I found all I need to do was turn on the air conditioning for 10 mins before bed then switch it off and use the ceiling fan which was enough. It also has a large balcony with table and chairs that wraps around the front of the villa and connects to the second double bedroom.
We often ate breakfast and lunch on the large balcony off the lounge , which has a table and chairs to fit 6. It has fantastic views down to the sea and the mountains in the distance.
All the kitchen appliance are new and very good quality including a dishwasher.
There is also downstairs toilette / utility room with a washing machine which was very useful.
There is a car port at the back for easy parking , it does have steep stairs up to the villa which you should be aware of for access , but these where not a problem to us.
We loved this villa and holiday and I am the process of booking theVilla Yuka again for next year this time for two weeks and can't wait to go back.
