Whilst this is a very nice hotel in a nice location, it is totally unequipped for winter occupation. We have just stayed 4wks there, the lounge area has NO heating whatsoever, the reading room is as cold as a fridge and the main bar area is like a wind tunnel, you have to sit in a draft all evening, with coats or cardigans. Half of the occupants, like myself caught chesty colds sat in the drafts.
On the plus side, as i say the hotel is very nice, very clean and the staff very pleasant, but until the management do their bit and make this hotel a comfortable place to stay in winter, it should be made plain to people the drawbacks of a winter stay here, you are after all paying good money for a comfortable holiday!, but neither the Thomson reps or the reception staff wanted to know and when i spoke to the hotel customer relations lady, she said" they were aware of it", a lot of good that is!!More
