It was a nice quiet location and cute old cottage. I was a wonderful location to explore the area such as Glendalough and Wicklow area.
There were no surprises about this cottage. It's advertised as being a very old cottage, and that it is. We were comfortable, but if you are looking for a modern experience, it is not for you. You need to be able to build a fire and look after it to keep warm and need to be prepared to work in a tiny kitchen and deal with a tiny bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the furniture was adequate. Having internet access was a big plus. The quiet location is good to explore the Wicklow mountains and SE Ireland and the nearby village is nice. Our only major complaint was the somewhat strong odor of mildew that is probably a result of sitting, unheated for extended periods of time.
