“Dylan Thomas's dream”
Reviewed 16 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We arrived from a long journey to a warm smile and an even warmer welcome from Naoive and husband, who made us feel so welcome, this include a delicious apple tart to start our short but lovely break. Nothing was a bother nor nothing was left off the list to make our stay a true céad míle failte. Irish hospitality at its best. The house was a dream, with sea views from every window in the bedrooms and downstairs and a beautiful "host of golden daffodils", smiled in at us. Nature and tranquility for all who need a place of peace and quiet and yet all other amenities are close at hand in An Rinn, or Aird Móir for young and old.
We all enjoyed the music and singing féile/ festival at An Rinn and felt so at home in this house.
We have no hesitation in recommending this property as a family holiday destination. There is so space in the garden for children to play in and the beach at close hand , a little secret hide away and the walks close by add to its charm and beauty to make it a great holiday destination for family and friends. Go raibh maith agaibh arís.! Thank you once again for a beautiful weekend and great memories. The owners were very generous in extending our stay by one extra night.

“Already looking to go back”
Reviewed 29 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Lovely farmhouse in the perfect location for us, who were travelling from the city. Private, with wide open spaces and everything we needed to hand. Naoive is the perfect hostess who provides everything that you could need - a home away from home. Lots to do in the local area and positioned between Cork and Waterford meant we could go shopping in the city if needed. We enjoyed the visit to the Titanic Exhibition in Cobh and the many different beaches just a short distance away. Extended family members were able to visit and stay with us and join in our holiday which was wonderful. We had the most amazing, relaxing holiday at Brownes and we are already looking to return. Thanks Naoive for everything (particularly your sense of humour at our arrival!!)

“Impressive home, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished.”
Reviewed 23 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This is a very fine home with beautiful views across the fields and out to sea. Naoive is a charming and welcoming hostess - a tin of homemade cookies was waiting on the kitchen counter on our arrival ! The rooms are large and spacious and we liked the touches of homemade soaps in the bathrooms and the greetings cards with instructions for TV etc. Paper, wood and a scuttle of peat was standing by the fireplace for us to build a fire.
It is a fine, large kitchen and my only comment would be that I wish there had been more equipment to work with. As the chef for our party, I could have done with a few covered casserole dishes of various sizes, a set of mixing bowls, some plastic Tupperware-type containers and sharper knives !!
We certainly enjoyed our stay here though the beaches were further away than I had expected.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay in Brownes Farm House. Many thanks for taking the time to review us. Also thank you for the helpful suggestions on kitchen equipment which we will address straight away. It is only by responding to suggestions that we can make it truly perfect and the hassle free holiday it should be. Unfortunately, we cannot move the beaches closer - the largest is 10 minutes by car and the smallest 10 minutes by foot. Hopefully, we won't get any Cliff erosion to bring us closer! Thanks again.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Brownes Farm House is absolutely fabulous. I stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend and we absolutely loved it. We received more than we expected with some lovely welcoming touches. Naoive couldn't have done enough for us. The house is beautiful and has everything you could want. I would highly recommend it. Family members used to visit this house in the 1960's so thanks to Naoive for welcoming them back,it was great for them to take a trip down memory lane.

Many thanks for taking the time to review us. We are delighted that you and your friends enjoyed the house. We were also delighted to meet your relatives who had a lot of history of the house from the 1920s to 1940's. I am researching the history of the house over the last 100 years and when I have it all together I will put it in the house for others to enjoy. We would love to welcome you back at any time in the future.

House was beautiful and the views were to die for. We only had 3 days but hope to be back sometime in the future. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful - it was like home away from home. The weather was an added bonus as it was a beautiful weekend.

Go raibh mile maith agaibh Naoive agus Paul.
